Good Heavens

I'm behind in my dinner posts. Last night was scrumilicious, with another wild mushroom omelette. The night before was lamb chops with roasted beets. I was raised to revile beets, but have discovered in my adulthood that they're terrific, especially when dressed with vinegar. I apologize to my mother, and swear that I continue to draw the line at sweet pickles.

Beets! To which dark side will the next switcheroo be? MIRACLE WHIP?!

You know, it's funny about Miracle Whip; I don't hear about it any more. I guess this means either that it's a relic of my childhood, or that my childhood training was so effective I no longer even register it.

I can't comment on Miracle Whip, since I don't touch anything that resembles mayonnaise. But, I will say that I stand right behind you on the sweet pickles. My mother makes gallons of them every summer, and just the smell of them alone is enough to make me gag.
