Fish Soup

I don't know what got into me, but I made a soup out of a big piece of cod, a potato, three leeks, some cream, and some jellied chicken juices. It was pretty good, but will probably be better tomorrow.

How did it turn out? Did you wish you had used a different kind of fish?

I think cod was an ok choice, but as it turned out I never tasted it on the second day. My spouse was in charge of dinner cleanup and left it out over night. Although I am not usually particularly squeamish about such things, I couldn't get enthusiastic about fish left unchilled for twenty-four hours. So out it went.
