Monkey

These were actually completed way back in May, before the Great Sickness made knitting impossible, then immediately shipped off as a birthday present for a beloved aunt. The pattern is called "Monkey" and is another of those that is absolutely all over the knitting blogosphere. The yarn is Koigu, a hand-painted yarn famed for its softness and resilience; it was in fact a total delight to work with.

Trying to decide which I love more, the socks or (again) the shoes. Both, my dear, are fabulous.

I'm just amused by the idea of socks with high heeled shoes. Do you actually wear them that way, or was this just for show?

Good heavens--I certainly don't have the fashion guts to work this look in public! It's just that it's surprisingly hard to take a non-dumpy sock picture.

Why not? :P

Seriously though, you've got tenure, but your daughter is still too young to complain about you embarrassing you. And you look like you've barely aged since we met mumble mumble years ago.

If you wanted to work this look in public, I'd say ... work it girl ;)
